EMA Office Emergency Generator Upgrade

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSSEALED BIDS will be received at the Office of the City Clerk, 4th Floor, City Hall, Wilkes-Barre, PA until 3:00 PM, and then publicly opened and read aloud, on the 19th Day of March 2026 for the EMA Office Emergency Generator Upgrade. Bids received after 3:00 PM will not be opened.    SEALED BIDS are invited on the following work items: EMA Office Emergency Generator Upgrade located in the City of Wilkes-Barre as indicated in the Contract Documents. Project is comprised of electrical work and miscellaneous other work.  Bid Specifications will be available on the City’s Website and in the above-mentioned office from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.     Contracts will be awarded to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest bid for the selected work, as determined by the Owner and the Professional Service Provider in one (1) prime contract:  Electrical Construction.  The successful bidders shall anticipate a Notice of Award within Thirty days (30) calendar days after opening the bids and a Notice to Proceed shall be issued shortly thereafter.    Bid Security, in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.  Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages, as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on the project. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond, Labor and Material Payment Bond.    A Pre-bid Meeting will be held at 10:00 AM, on the 6th Day of March 2026 at the facility, 38 Coal Street.  Bidder attendance is recommended.The Contractors must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, handicap, or family status, and that to the greatest extent feasible utilize project area businesses located in or owned in substantial part by project area residents.In accordance with Executive Order 11246, the City of Wilkes-Barre is an equal opportunity employer.
