NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that emailed proposals will be received NO LATER THAN 2:00 P.M. March 13, 2026 and should be addressed as:KT# 26-024 Construction Management Services for Passenger Only Ferry VesselKitsap Transit is issuing this Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) to solicit proposals from interested, qualified, and experienced firms to provide management of the construction and delivery of one (1) new passenger-only ferry, to be used and certificated to transport 254 persons (250 passengers and 4 crew). Construction and delivery of the new ferry shall meet all contract requirements, drawings, and specifications, both on time and within budget. This includes evaluating proposed machinery improvements, preparing revised specifications, and implementing staff-requested changes in accordance with best marine engineering practices.Kitsap Transit in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally Assisted Programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.
