Description
Project Description:The proposed Auburn Avenue Theater is a new single-story, 9,960 SF multi-use performing arts facility featuring a 300-seat auditorium, stage, technical support spaces, back-of-house areas, lobby, restrooms, and front-of-house program. The theater is designed to accommodate a wide range of performances, including touring musical acts, tribute bands, drama and community theater productions, comedy shows, and other presentations and events. The facility will be owned and operated by the City of Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation Department, replacing the existing Auburn Avenue Theater. The project is required to achieve a minimum of LEED v4 Silver certification in accordance with City of Auburn requirements.The project also includes development of a new park and alley improvements on adjacent property east of the theater site, as well as improvements to the public right-of-way alley along the north side of the site. All properties are city-owned.
