Better Than Keyword Search: Public Sector Buying Signals

At NationGraph, finding a buying signal isn't just a keyword match. Our machine learning engineers use AI and classical ML models to identify relevant signals for each institution, filter out the noise, and build systems that get smarter the more you use them.

Leading that work is Mae Hwee Teo, our Head of ML and AI. Mae holds a PhD in Physics from Stanford and spent three years as a quantitative researcher at Citadel. She and her team are solving a deceptively hard problem: making sure the signals you see aren't just mentions, they're real buying decisions.

"I think of a signal as some modicum of truth that helps it be more likely for anyone to want to buy your product or engage with you. Any kind of bit of information that helps with that, we call that a signal."
