Chambers Creek Road Roundabout - Fed Aid#: STBGUL-9927(065) The City of University Place solicits interest from Consulting firms with expertise in Cultural Resource services for the Preliminary Engineering phase of the Chambers Creek Road Roundabout Project. Contract type will be negotiated hourly rate. The project has an estimated construction start date of June 1st, 2027. We expect deliverables will be provided by the consultant by July 15th, 2026, assuming the consultant agreement is executed by April 15th, 2026. The project will consist of constructing a roundabout at the intersection of Chambers Creek Road and 64th Street West including sidewalks, street lighting, landscaping/pedestrian buffers, and connections to existing pedestrian and bicycle improvements. The project also includes approximately 800 ft of pavement overlay on the approach legs to address transitions and distressed pavement. The work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of providing a Cultural Resources Assessment for the project area compliant with section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. The city does not intend to use the selected firm for any other phase of the project (e.g. ROW or CN). Submittal Submittals should include the following information: Firm name, phone numbers; Name of Principal-in-Charge and Project Manager, and number of employees in each firm proposed to each project and descriptions of the relevant company and personnel experience. Submittals will be evaluated and ranked based on the following criteria: 1) Key personnel qualifications; 2) Firm experience with Federally Funded Transportation projects; 3) Ability to meet schedule; 4) Approach to project; 5) Familiarity with relevant codes and standards; 6) Past performance/references. Submittals will be reviewed and the top firms will be notified within two weeks after the submittal deadline and scheduled for virtual interviews. Selection will be based on the results of the virtual interviews of the top firms. The selected firm will be notified within two weeks of their interview. The consultant will be held to ADA and Civil Rights language for the Local Agency.
