Big Lift Preschool Early Language and Literacy Supports/Coordination

Description of Project This RFP seeks proposals for early language and literacy supports to the preschool component of The Big Lift initiative. The Big Lift is a collective impact effort co-led by the County of San Mateo, the San Mateo County Office of Education, and the San Mateo County Libraries dedicated to improving reading proficiency. The Big Lift partners with preschool programs and school districts across San Mateo County to support evidence-based preschool to third grade literacy instruction. To help achieve its preschool goals, the San Mateo County Office of Education provides supports to preschool programs designed to align instruction with science of reading frameworks and the latest research on how to close early language and literacy gaps.
