Audiologist Services RFP

Overview Great River School is seeking proposals from qualified Audiologist providers to offer special education services for students with disabilities and or are in initial evaluations.  The role of the Audiologist provider is to further our school mission to provide a quality Montessori / IB education through inspiring learning environments and strong relationships based on respect for the gifts of each student.  The position is to work collaboratively within the Special Education Department and the greater GRS community to support student development via the facilitation and support of building special education needs. Great River School is a public Montessori institution servicing students ages 6 through 18.  Our community is committed to an engaging environment that prepares students for their unique roles as responsible and engaged citizens of the world.  Our vision is world peace through education.  We specifically seek to deconstruct systems of bias and oppression that interrupt relationships and access to education.  Great River School is committed to Montessori and International Baccalaureate pedagogy. Scope of Work The selected vendor will be responsible for providing Audiology services.  The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: Screen and or evaluate students who have been referred to an Audiologist. Consult with guides and parents regarding appropriate specialized equipment/assistive devices. Maintain close communication with special education guides, general education guides and parents concerning student performance. Participate in team meetings, Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings, and periodic reviews to assess programming and reevaluation decisions. Review student records, including special education records, to evaluate student needs for audiology and deaf/hard of hearing services. Recommend assessment tools, protocol, and actions needed to assist student needs in the area of deaf/hard of hearing services. Recommend interventions, accommodations, and resources to provide service for students who qualify for deaf/hard of hearing services.
