0170 - SFA Actuarial Services

The Contractor shall help with EBSA’s enforcement and actuarial work. For each plan these services may include SFA Review plan documents and participant census data to understand the benefit formula and then independently generate spreadsheet formulas to calculate the plan's monthly benefit for each individual in the sample. Compare the calculated monthly benefit to the amounts being paid by the plan to determine if those amounts are reasonably equivalent. Prepare request(s) to the plan for any additional documents or data needed to reconcile differences in the amounts and update the benefit comparisons.
