Description

Overview Great River School is seeking proposals from qualified DAPE providers to provide special education services for students with disabilities and/or those in initial evaluations.  The role of the DAPE provider is to advance our school's mission to deliver high-quality services in a Montessori/IB education environment by fostering inspiring learning environments and strong relationships grounded in respect for each student's gifts.  The position involves collaborating with the Special Education Department and the broader GRS community to support student development. Great River School is a public Montessori institution servicing students ages 6 through 18.  Our community is committed to fostering an engaging environment that prepares students for their unique roles as responsible, engaged citizens of the world.  Our vision is world peace through education.  We specifically seek to deconstruct systems of bias and oppression that interrupt relationships and access to education.  Great River School is committed to Montessori and International Baccalaureate pedagogy. Scope of Work The selected vendor will be responsible for providing DAPE services.  The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: Screen and or evaluate students who have been referred to DAPE. Consult with guides and parents regarding appropriate motor activities, self-help skills, and special equipment/assistive devices. Maintain close communication with special education guides, general education guides and parents concerning student performance. Participate in team meetings, Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings, and periodic reviews to assess programming and reevaluation decisions. Work collaboratively with special education and general education guides to schedule services and locations. Ensuring students’ skills are generalized across settings by collaborating with guides and other related service providers. Write IEP goals, track and report on progress in a timely manner. Maintain an inventory of materials, assessment materials and supplies. Keep abreast of best practices in DAPE. Submission Deadline Proposals must be submitted by March 9th, 2026 at 11:59pm . Late submissions will not be considered.
