South Street is seeking road reconstruction services for infrastructure improvement

Description

This project involves a reconstruction of South Street between Wright Ave. and Central Ave. The project area is approximately 700 ft. long and will involve the entire pavement width of South Street (approximately 28 ft. wide). The following items will be included in the work: • Pavement Removal and Excavation (14.5") • Installation of new base and asphalt materials (see attached project specification with cross-section drawing, consisting of: 8" 304 gravel 3" 301 asphalt 2" of 448 Type 2 intermediate asphalt 1.5" of 448 Type 1 surface asphalt • Installation of 6" sleeved underdrain and connection to catch basins. See attached project underdrain specification. • Installation of geogrid • Subgrade compaction • Proof roll as needed • Excavation of subgrade (as needed) • Maintenance of traffic
