Description

The PORT OF PORT TOWNSEND is currently accepting sealed bids for construction of the following:BOAT HAVEN BREAKWATER REPAIR PROJECTPort of Port Townsend Contract No. BH-01-009Community Economic Revitalization Board (CERB) Rural Ports Program Contract No. RP26-96430-006MARAD Contract No. 693JF2440057The work required for this project includes the work as indicated in these Contract Documents. The work required for this project includes but is not limited to:Repair of the Boat Haven Breakwater as described generally below:Removal and disposal of manmade timber debris from the top of the existing breakwaterRepostioning and compaction of existing riprap for breakwater stabilizationExcavation, removal, and disposal of undesired materialRebuilding of breakwater including the placement of geotextile material, bedding stone, and armor stoneTemporary erosion and sediment controlSurveying and construction stakingHand deliver bids to the front desk receptionist at the Port Administration Office, 2701 Jefferson St, Port Townsend, Washington by 10:00 a.m. on April 10, 2026. Hand delivered bids shall be sealed in an envelope, with a return address on it, and plainly marked in the lower left-hand corner “SEALED BID FOR Boat Haven Breakwater Repair Project”.Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty, either a Certified Check or Bid Bond in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the Bid.  Prospective bidders are encouraged to carefully review 00 21 13 Instructions to Bidders, paragraph 2.07, Bid Submittal for complete submittal requirements and paragraph 3.04 for responsive bid requirements.This project includes an apprentice utilization requirement of 15% and contains a monetary incentive for contractors who meet the requirement and a penalty for those who fail to demonstrate a good faith effort.Disadvantaged, Minority, and Women’s Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond. The Port of Port Townsend does not discriminate on the grounds of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age or handicap in consideration for a project award.The Port of Port Townsend reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive technicalities or irregularities and to accept any bid if such action is believed to be in the best interest of the Port.
