ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUNDThe Silver Valley Community Resource Center (SVCRC) is a small nonprofit organization serving residents of the Silver Valley area of North Idaho. SVCRC works to empower affected citizens through grassroots education and outreach, focusing on issues of environmental justice and human health.2. PURPOSE OF THIS RFPThe purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified independent contractors to provide technical assistance services.3. SCOPE OF WORKThe selected contractor will provide services that may include, but are not limited to:Reviewing our current technology setup (hardware, software, internet, and systems)Assessing basic cybersecurity and data protection practicesRecommending affordable and appropriate tools for a small nonprofitAssisting with setup or improvement of:Email systemsFile storage and sharingBasic data managementHardware and device configurationBasic website set upTroubleshooting common IT issuesCreating simple documentation or instructions for staffProviding basic training or coaching to staff as neededProposers should explain what services they recommend and why.4. DELIVERABLESExpected deliverables may include:A brief assessment of current IT systemsA prioritized list of recommendationsAssistance with implementation (as agreed)Simple written instructions or guidesA short summary of work completed5. CONTRACT TERMThe contract will begin April 15, 2026 and end June 30, 2027. Continuation of services is contingent upon availability of grant funding, satisfactory performance, and compliance with contract terms.6. BUDGET AND PAYMENT TERMSTotal compensation under this contract shall not exceed $12,550. Contractors must submit itemized invoices no more than once per month. Payment will be issued within 30 days of receipt and approval of a complete invoice.7. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSProposers must demonstrate relevant experience, ability to work independently, strong communication skills, and provide at least two professional references.8. FEDERAL COMPLIANCE (If Grant Funded)If funded by federal grant funds, the selected contractor must comply with applicable federal regulations including 2 CFR Part 200, maintain records for a minimum of three years following final payment, and certify that they are not suspended or debarred.9. INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR STATUSThe selected proposer will serve as an independent contractor and not as an employee of SVCRC and will be responsible for all applicable taxes, insurance, and licensing requirements.All applicants must have a current UEI to be awarded this contract.
