NOTICE OF WATER RIGHT APPLICATION LAS 35654Pursuant to AS 46.15.133 and 11 AAC 93.080, notice is hereby given that Matanuska Susitna Borough School District, 3901 E Bogard Rd, Wasilla, Alaska 99654, applied for a permit to appropriate water on July 15, 2025. The application is for drinking water for the Mat-Su Central School. Source & Amount of Water: 7,200 gallons per day from a 72 foot deep well.Legal Description of Source and Area of Appurtenance: Lot 1A, Stringfield Subdivision No. 2, Plat No. 2025-1, Palmer Recording District. Parcel is in Section 34, Township 18 North, Range 1E, Seward Meridian.Per AS 46.15.133(a), within 15 days of publication or service of notice, persons may file with the director written objections. Comments or objections must be made in writing by email to lesli.schick@alaska.gov or by mail to Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Water Resources Section, 550 W 7th Ave, Suite 1020, Anchorage, Alaska 99501-3562 by 5:00 p.m. October 16, 2025. Pursuant to 11 AAC 93.080(6), “The public comment period set by AS 46.15.133 (c) begins the first day the newspaper publication appears, or the first day of posting, or upon receipt of the notice as evidenced by the certified mail receipt, date stamp, or other evidence of actual service.”Objection must include the objector’s name and address, and any facts tending to show that the rights of the objector or the public interest would be adversely affected by the proposed appropriation.
