2025 Citywide Speed Zone Study (RFP)

Professional engineering consultant to prepare a citywide speed zone study to provide recommendations to the city council on the appropriate modification of existing speed zones and establishment of new zones. Services and products to be rendered in performing all work associated with traffic speed surveys include, but are not necessarily limited to obtain speed data for each street segment that was used to determine the existing speed zones identified in chapter 9. 12 "prima facie speed limits" of the city municipal code, and other additional segments that may be utilized to extend existing speed zones or create new ones. The city’s existing speed zones were established based upon surveys conducted on 149 roadway segments. The scope of work for the 2025 citywide speed zone study shall include up to an additional 10 roadway segments to be added, bringing the potential number of roadway segments to be studied up to 159.
