PUBLIC NOTICEReconsideration of FY2027 CIP Grant Rankings Pursuant to AS 14.11.013(e) and 4 AAC 31.026(a), the Department of Education & Early Development will hold public hearings to receive oral and written comments on the priority ranking of proposed school construction and major maintenance projects for FY2027, which is available to view at: education.alaska.gov/facilities. A school district requesting reconsideration of its eligibility determination, the priority ranking assigned to a project, its scope as approved by the department, or the project’s budget, or denial of waiver of local contribution requirement, shall file, not later than December 1, 2025, by 4:00 p.m., a written request for reconsideration that states: the specific objection; a summary of evidence that the department erred in its eligibility determination, priority ranking of the project, the scope of the project allowed, or the amount of the project budget approved; and the relief sought.A district may request reconsideration without attending the public hearing, but the request must be received by the department no later than the closing time of the public hearings. Oral and written comments should focus on how the department erred in ranking a project, in determining allowable scope of a project, or in determining the approved amount of a project budget.Districts requesting a hearing or persons with disabilities who need a special modification in order to present their comments at the hearing should contact eed.facilities@alaska.gov no later than November 14, 2025, by 12:00 p.m.; November 21, 2025, by 12:00 p.m. or November 26, 2025, by 12:00 p.m. for the respective meeting.Submit written requests via e-mail to: eed.facilities@alaska.gov
