Description

METRO intends to conduct a limited-term pilot of real-time passenger information (RTPI) display systems as a pre-cursor to selecting technology for widespread adoption in METRO’s bus network. METRO intends to pilot available RTPI display systems for a minimum duration of three (3) months, up to a maximum of six (6) months, to test available RTPI signage products (displays and content management systems) in real-world operational conditions to measure performance against multiple criteria. Following the pilot, METRO and its partners anticipate purchasing and installing an undetermined quantity of RTPI signs based on the pilot outcomes and preferred RTPI signage system technology (or approved equal) for adoption at METRO transit center properties and along future rapid corridors
