District Opportunity to Purchase Act (DOPA) Property Management Services Grant

The DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) – Housing Preservation Unit (HPU) announces the District Opportunity to Purchase Act (DOPA) – Property Management Services Grant!District Opportunity to Purchase Act (DOPA) Property Management Services GrantDHCD issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to pre-qualify residential property managers and offer a grant to manage properties the District acquires through the District Opportunity to Purchase Act (D.C. Code § 42-3404.31-37), foreclosure of DHCD liens, transfers for Real Estate Owned (REO) properties from lenders, and negotiated sale. DHCD will use the RFQ to select three to five organizations to create and retain a pool of managers on call to manage properties. Organizations selected from the pool to manage a property will be offered a small startup grant to cover initial costs and be required to submit an estimated management budget and execute a management agreement.
