Introduction The Health and Human Services Commission (“Owner”), for and on behalf of its Health and Specialty Care System Division (“HSCS”), is soliciting Competitive Sealed Proposals (“Proposals”) for selection of a General Contractor (“Contractor”) to provide general construction and construction administration services to the Owner for Project No. 24-128-BLC, Chiller Renovation at Brenham State Supported Living Center (the “Project”), in accordance with the terms, conditions, and requirements set forth in this Solicitation.Project Location, Summary, and Budget Project Location: Brenham State Supported Living Center4001 TX-36Brenham, TX 77833 Project Summary: The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Rehabilitation of the existing chilled water system for Brenham State Supported Living Center Building 507. The project corrects flow considerations involving best practices and manufacturer recommendations in chilled water systems including maintaining the minimum flow through the air cooled chiller and system volume to maintain thermal mass in the system and preventing short-cycling to help longevity of the existing equipment. Project Estimate: The approximate cost for construction of the Project is $200,000.00.
