San Mateo County is seeking electronics collection and recycling services for county facilities.

Description

Provide collection, reuse/donation, and recycling services for electronic equipment and components from county facilities; collection of functional and non-functional electronics from county facilities, followed by secure transfer to contractor vehicles for transportation to county-approved reuse, donation, or certified recycling facilities; cleanup of any debris caused by collection activities, including the proper handling of inadvertently collected universal waste; provide electronic collection bins and service them at designated county facilities. Currently, 16 to 20 facilities have collection bins, though this number may increase or decrease over the term of the contract. Service frequency varies by facility, ranging from weekly to on-call collection. See outside link. This solicitation has some or all Local funding, additional requirements may apply. The agreement shall have a term of five (5) years. In addition, the County shall have one (1) option to extend the term for an additional period not to exceed two years, which the County may exercise in its sole, absolute discretion. This project has a "prevailing wage" requirement.
