Request for Bids and AvailabilityForks Industrial ParkManufacturing Building Ceiling Insulation (Re-Bid)Forks, WA 98331Bids Due – 2 pm, 6 March 2026Work to be completed by NLT 5 PM, 15 April 2026City of Forks is reseeking bids for the Forks Industrial Park Manufacturing Building Ceiling Insulation Project after the City Council rejected all previous bids due to issues raised in the bid process. This request has been modified to reflect the resolution of those issues after consultation with the City’s contract commercial certified building official.Thet seeking bids replacing 22,000 sq ft of missing or partially removed and damaged ceiling insulation at the Forks Industrial Park Manufacturing Building, located at 143 Sitkum Sol-Duc Rd.  The building had been vacant for a period of ten years during which birds removed in total, or partially, the existing fiberglass roof insulation.  City is seeking a licensed, insured, and bonded contractor to remove any insulation that is hanging from the roof and replace it with conventional R-15 fiberglass insulation or its equivalent.Elements of the project include:Apply approximately 22,000 sq ft of conventional R-15 (or higher equivalent) batt insulation to slopes where removed or missing.Removal of all insulation debris and thorough clean-up of the work site.Work requires payment of state prevailing wage and submission of required documentation.  City will not be providing any materials or equipment.  Selected contractor will have to supply any equipment and materials necessary to undertake the work specified above. PROJECT SITE IS OPEN AND STRONGLY RECOMMENDED FOR AN INSPECTION/REVIEW AS THERE IS MILL EQUIPMENT BEING SET UP.  All work will need to be scheduled around the current tenants timeline for lumber mill equipment installations. Performance bond, or agreement for the city to retain an additional 10% over the usual retainage of 5% will be required. The latter will be released upon both (1) completion and acceptance of the work and project by the City and, (2) acknowledgement by DOR, DL&I, and ES of payment of applicable taxes, wages, etc.THIS PROJECT IS A PREVAILING WAGE JOB.No bid bond is required.  However, a performance bond will be required, or at the election of the contractor the retainage of an additional 10% above the usual 5% by the City.Contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder.Bids are due 2 pm, 6 March 2026 to the City of Forks’ Planning Department, attn: Rod Fleck, either in person at 500 East Division, Forks, WA 98331;
