Airport Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) Vehicle Procurement

Schedule a - airport rescue and firefighting (ARFF) vehicle procurement shall consist of a commercially produced diesel engine driven ARFF vehicle. It includes a 1500-gallon water/AFFF fire suppression system with a complementary 450 or 500 pound (lb) dry chemical system. Vehicles complying with the specifications will meet the ARFF vehicle requirements of part 139, certification and operations land airports serving certain air carriers, section 315, aircraft rescue and firefighting index determination; section 317, aircraft rescue and firefighting equipment and agents; and federal aviation administration (FAA) advisory circular (ac) 150/5220-10e, guide specification for aircraft rescue and fire fighting (ARFF) vehicles.
