Description
The major project components generally include, at a minimum, the mechanical, civil, structural, geotechnical, electrical, and instrumentation and control elements necessary for the rehabilitation of the stormwater and wastewater pump stations. This includes all associated temporary facilities required to maintain service during construction. The scope involves intake wetwell repairs, discharge structures with flap gates, top slab modifications, and salvaging and returning existing equipment to the Town. It also includes wastewater manhole and wetwell modifications and rehabilitation; top slab reconstruction; installation of hatches, discharge piping, valves, bypass pump-outs, vent pipes, spare odor control piping, pumps, guide rails, base elbows, wetwell fillets, protective coatings, access hatches, and drainage structures with grating. Stormwater system upgrades include the installation of stormwater pumps and pump cans, discharge piping with flap gates, discharge area grading and scour protection restoration. Work also involves piping, utility relocations, and any temporary facilities required to maintain continuous utility service to customers. Additional improvements include installation or rehabilitation of platforms, an outdoor backup generator and base fuel tank, fuel systems, site civil work including pavement, striping, grading, drainage, landscaping, and irrigation. Coordination with Florida Power & Light (FPL) is also required. Electrical upgrades include all controls, pull boxes, panel boards, lighting, lightning protection, conduit and wire, the main control panel, field instruments, remote terminal units (RTUs), and other related systems.
