RFP: Multi-Family Housing Pilot Program

The City of Decatur is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the development of vacant land that is currently owned by the City to be designated for multi-family housing. After the proposals are awarded, the City will transfer ownership to the developer.This exciting opportunity includes 28 individual lots located within a three-block area. Lot sizes range from 0.24 to 0.5 acres, with the flexibility to combine adjacent lots to accommodate larger development plans. The area is ideally suited for developers seeking to contribute to the city’s housing growth and meet increasing demand for quality multi-family living options.Interested developers are encouraged to submit proposals that demonstrate innovative design, financing, construction, efficient land use, and long-term community impact.
