Description

I. Introduction The Town of Argyle (“Town”) invites qualified, independent Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) or public accounting firms licensed in the State of Texas to submit statements of qualifications to perform an independent financial audit of the Town’s 2020 Transportation and Wastewater Impact Fees. This engagement is required under Texas Local Government Code Chapter 395, as amended by Senate Bill 1883 (2025), which mandates periodic independent audits of impact fee accounts and their administration. II. Background Argyle is a growing community of roughly 11.6 square miles located in north-central Denton County within the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. The Town assesses roadway and wastewater impact fees in accordance with its adopted Land Use Assumptions (LUA), Capital Improvements Plan (CIP), and Impact Fee Ordinance. Since adoption in 2020 through Ordinance 2020-10, the Town has tracked all collections, expenditures, and credits within designated service areas. The Town now seeks an independent auditor to verify financial integrity and compliance prior to future updates or adjustments to its LUA, CIP, and fee schedules. III.
