Description

The Town of Wayland, acting through its Town Manager, hereby invites sealed bids from qualified vendors to supply all labor and materials needed for the Wayland Middle School Ceiling Tile Abatement and Replacement Project at the Wayland Middle School, located at 201 Main Street, Wayland, MA. The scope of work includes but is not limited to the proper removal, cleaning and disposal of ACM contaminated ceiling tile, of approximately 35,425 square feet and the replacement of abated tiles with new 2'x 4' Armstrong #17578 Humiguard Plus to match existing tiles.All IFB documents will be available starting March 26, 2026. Both general and filed sub-bids must be submitted in person to Kelsi Power-Spirlet, Assistant Town Manager, at the Wayland Town Building, 41 Cochituate Road, Wayland, MA 01778. A bid bond of 5% of the total bid is required for all general bidders and sub-bidders. Each general bid and sub-bid must include a DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and an Update Statement (Form CQ3) for the respective trade. No bidder may withdraw its bid within 30 days.Filed sub-bids will be received in person at the Wayland Town Building untilApril 17, 2026 at 1:00PM ET.Sub-Bids will be required as described for the following categories:Acoustical tileGeneral bids will be received in person at Wayland Town Hall untilMay 1, 2026 at 1:00PM ET.All bids and the awarding of any contract are subject to the provisions of M.G.L. c. 149, §§ 44A–44J, et seq. Wages are subject to minimum wage rates determined by the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Industries pursuant to M.G.L. Ch. 149, §§ 26 to 27H.Please Note:Sub-Bids will be required as described for the following categories:Acoustical tileBid Bond/Deposit – Bidders are required furnish a bid deposit worth 5% of the value of the total bid. See Section 4.6 for details.Labor and Materials Payment Bond – The Awarded Contractor will be required to supply a 50% Labor and Materials Payment Bond, as noted in Section 4.7.Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Rates – Massachusetts Prevailing Wage applies for this project.
