Actuarial Consulting Services (RFP)

Consult and advise the MCERA Board on actuarial matters or questions which arise out of or from the operations of MCERA. Services may be required in person, by video, telephone or written correspondence. Provide in-person presentations of, and public testimony on, all actuarial reports/issues to the MCERA Board or other public bodies on any actuarial or actuarially related issue relevant to the system. MCERA expects the consulting actuary to attend a minimum of one MCERA Board of Retirement meetings per calendar year to review the annual actuarial valuation. Conduct educational discussions with the MCERA Board, MCERA staff and/or MCERA Plan Sponsors and stakeholders. The presenting actuary must have the ability to discuss actuarial theory and actuarial and pension topics in layperson’s terms. This solicitation has some or all Local funding, additional requirements may apply. Responses to questions will be posted to MCERA’s website by 5:00 p.m. January 30, 2026.
