Description

Construction of solar project with solar panels on a 384-acre site at the far eastern edge of Fayette County, on the border of Clark County. The farm is projected to generate 40 megawatts of power, or enough to power about 4,558 homes, according to estimates from cooperative officials. Cooperative Solar Farm Two - Fayette will feature photovoltaic (PV) solar panels mounted on single-axis tracking systems supported by steel posts. When operating, the solar panels will move to track the sun from east to west over the course of the day. The solar farm will have capacity to generate 40 megawatts of electricity at alternating current (AC). That is enough to serve the annual electricity needs of 4,560 typical Kentucky homes. Bid date is ONLY an estimated Bid Date. Additional information will be posted if and when available. PLEASE NOTE THIS INFORMATION IS INCOMPLETE AND IS FOR GENERAL PURPOSES ONLY. INTERESTED PRIME CONTRACTORS, SUB CONTRACTORS, VENDORS NOT ALREADY PREQUALIFIED WITH THE OWNER MAY WANT TO SEEK PREQUALIFICATION FOR THIS AND OTHER PROJECTS. Construction is estimated to begin in fourth quarter of 2025 and complete construction in first quarter 2027. County seat listed as the location for the project.
