Notice of Intent to Sole Source Emergency Vehicle Preemption

This is not a solicitation. The proposed contract action is for product or services for which the City intends to negotiate and award with only one source under the authority of and in accordance with Florida State Statute 287.057(3)(c). Any responses received as a result of this Notice of Intent shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses will not be considered as proposals, bids, or quotes. The City of Melbourne intends to purchase High Availability (HA) Emergency Vehicle Preemption (EVP) technology from Ericson Wireless Solutions, also known as Cradlepoint. Vendor shall provide the following equipment: • R1900 DIN-mount Cradlepoint R1900 optional with RX-30: SKU RM-CR-D3 • Parsec Great Pyrenees 11:1 for dual modem standard cable length, black: 8 cellular, 2 wi-fi, GPS, 15 ft, Black Pro11GP8L2WG15B • Panorama Megalodon 11:1 for dual modem, standard cables, black: LG-IN2902
