PROPOSAL TO AMEND A STATE AIRPORT LAND LEASE: The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities proposes to change the authorized uses of Lease ADA-50845, Lot 8A, Block 100, consisting of approximately 23,375 square feet, at Wrangell Airport, to expire January 1, 2075. Applicant: Randy Backman. Annual rent: $5,072.38. Authorized uses: Aeronautical - Operation and maintenance of a hangar or hangars for aircraft storage; aircraft maintenance; air taxi operations; freight and cargo operations; offices and vehicle parking in support of these aeronautical uses; and non-aeronautical use for storage of materials used for Lessee owned business. 500 feet of non-aeronautical use space is authorized. Non-aeronautical use shall not impede aeronautical use.Written comments must be received by 4:30 p.m., October 19, 2025, after which the Department will determine whether or not to amend the lease.
