Scrap Vehicle and Metal Removal and Disposal Invitation to Bid Issue Date: September 8, 2025 Bid Due Date: October 27, 2025 Description:The City of Unalaska (“City”) requests bids from contractors to provide services for the removal, transport, and recycling or proper disposal of scrap metal and junk vehicles from Unalaska. The services include collection, staging, transport off-island, and appropriate disposal in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. This ITB is governed by Unalaska Code of Ordinances Chapter 6.24. The City estimates there are approximately 1,200 tons of loose scrap metal and 250 derelict or junk vehicles that require removal under this project. Quantities are approximate and may vary depending on final site assessments. Bid Deadline & Delivery: Sealed bids must be received by 2:00 PM AKST on October 27, 2025.
