Description
The Hawaii State Department of Health, Developmental Disabilities Division (DDD), is soliciting bids via Invitation for Bid (IFB) IFB-HTH-501-26-55 for document destruction services. The main purpose of this IFB is to secure a qualified vendor to provide secure and compliant document destruction services for the DDD.
The scope of services includes, but is not limited to, the secure shredding and disposal of confidential documents containing protected health information (PHI) and other sensitive data. The awarded vendor will be responsible for providing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to perform the services.
Key requirements outlined in the IFB include:
* Compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations related to document destruction and privacy, including HIPAA.
* Providing secure containers for document collection.
* Maintaining a secure chain of custody for all documents.
* Providing certified proof of destruction.
* Meeting minimum qualification requirements as detailed in Exhibit G.
* Adhering to the General Conditions (Exhibit C) and General Provisions (Exhibit D) outlined in the IFB.
* Complying with the Business Associate Agreement (Exhibit B).
