Request for Information: Crisis Services Institutional Readiness

The Department of Family and Community Services, Division of Office of Children's Services, seeks information from eligible and interested applicants for Crisis Services Institutional Readiness program.Location: StatewideProgram Services:This grant wants to enable community-based organizations to become a facility-based crisis service center certified to provide services in the least restrictive environment. Services can be provided 24-hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year to all individuals (adults and children) presenting a mental health crisis. Because no two organizations are exactly alike and needs will differ, the grant is flexible to the kinds of costs be covered and includes (but not limited to): > Staff training> 23-hour recliners> Crisis triage beds (non-ligature)> Safety improvements to facilities > Medication safes> Construction of walls to ensure individuals under 18-years of age are not housed with adults > Staff time to coordinate any needed subcontracts (e.g., with a commercial kitchen for patient meals;> Telehealth medical providers (should on-site staff not be able to provide for more complex medical or psychiatric needs) > Non-ligature furniture and clothing> Narcan in preparedness for possible overdose Anticipated Total Funding Available: 3-year duration (FY26-FY28) with a total of: $7,233,446.692026: $1,833,446.69 GF/MH2027: $2,100,000 GF/MH2028: $3,300,000 GF/MHTo view details of this Request for Information, including key dates and contact person, please visit GEMS at https://gems.dhss.alaska.gov
