RFP 26-86534DWD Professional Development Conference & Mentor ContractThe Department of Workforce Development (DWD) seeks respondents to satisfy the State's need for a vendor to plan and manage the annual professional development conference and provide mentorship and development. The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Title II – Adult Education and Family Literacy Act – requires that state leadership activities include high quality professional development to enhance the adult education system of the State. The annual conference provides professional development as required by Title II to disseminate information about models and promising practices. Adult education teachers and instructional aides working nine or more hours per week must complete a minimum of one DWD-sponsored professional development initiative annually. DWD has funded the technology and keynote speaker aspects of this conference for the past nine years in partnership with the current vendor. The Indiana Mentoring Project has also been facilitated by this vendor to deliver training and supportive services to new and struggling Adult Education Directors in the field.
