Description

The Rhode Island Department of Health’s (RIDOH) Asthma Control Program (RIACP) invites applications from eligible organizations and agencies to apply for a Short-Term Funding Opportunity to develop and implement initiatives to improve asthma awareness and outcomes through methods such as education on asthma management, environmental health, air quality, and/or healthy housing.  Eligible applicants must be located or serving in Rhode Island and have demonstrated proven engagement with communities affected by asthma health disparities.  Additionally, the organizations must have 501(c)(3) status, i.e., nonprofit, faith-based, public libraries, youth development organizations, etc. Applications should be submitted by no later than 5:00 p.m. on February 20, 2026 to: Tricia Washburn at Tricia.Washburn@health.ri.gov .  The deadline for the submission of questions is 5:00 p.m. on January 30, 2026.  Questions should be submitted in writing to Tricia Washburn at Tricia.Washburn@health.ri.gov with “Asthma-Related Short Term Project Question” in the subject line.  At the conclusion of the Q & A period, all questions and official answers will be posted as an addendum on the RIDOH website.
