Description
Grants may support planning and readiness activities for capital projects expected to be completed or shovel-ready within the next five years. This includes funding for pre-development and pre-construction work, such as feasibility studies, design, permitting, and stakeholder engagement. Funding may support a range of early-stage capital project activities, including Project plans and feasibility assessments; budget planning and lifecycle cost analysis; community and stakeholder engagement; schematic drawings, site plans, and design studies; environmental, engineering, and permitting work.
Budget $390,000 total available funding (up to $50,000 per applicant). Submittal Requirements Phase 1 initial project summary is due 10:00 AM January 20, 2026. Phase 2 for selected applications from Phase 1 are due 10:00 AM February 12, 2026. Questions are due January 13, 2026. Funding period March 1, 2026 - June 30, 2026. COMMERCE reserves the option at its sole discretion to extend the contract for two additional one-year periods.
