DOT&PF Notice of Public Scoping Meeting: Cold Bay AMHS Ferry Terminal Reconstruction

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), in collaboration with the City of Cold Bay, Aleutians East Borough, Alaska Marine Highway System (AMHS), and U.S. Maritime Administration has initiated a project to develop and implement the design of a replacement dock facility in Cold Bay. The existing dock is nearing the end of its serviceable life.The project is proposing the construction of a new pile-supported dock and adjacent mooring dolphins, fendering around the perimeter of the new dock, and demolition of the old dock to support commercial, freight and public use, and AMHS.The public is invited to attend the second project scoping meeting on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. virtually via Zoom.
