Description
Boulder County Parks and Open Space (BCPOS) is soliciting a Summary of Qualifications from highly qualified forestry contractors for a 5-year contract to implement approximately 100–300 acres annually of forest management work, including fuels reduction and forest restoration. Projects will involve both mechanical and manual cut/pile operations, requiring contractors to possess, or procure through subcontracting, conventional ground-based equipment (rubber-tired skidder, feller-buncher, and delimbing/processing capability) as well as CTL (Cut-to-Length) systems (harvester and forwarder). Contractors must also have access to the following whole-tree chippers, horizontal grinders, and the ability to provide all transportation needs for forestry operations. Additional responsibilities include road and landing improvements/maintenance, snow removal, and supplying necessary equipment for these tasks. The selected contractor will demonstrate extensive experience working on sensitive sites and maintain an exceptional, customer-oriented approach throughout project execution.
