Description
The purpose of this RFO is tosolicit vendors for a Youth Offender Monitoring and Tracking System (OMTS)for use by correctional staffat secured facilities. The submitted responsemust address the general requirements provided in this RFO. The proposalmust describe how the vendor proposes to develop/configure, test, stage, andrelease an OMTS solution applying iterative processes.Pursuant to Senate Bill 653passed by the 82nd Texas Legislature and signed by the Governor, the Texas JuvenileJustice Department (TJJDor Agency) was created on December1, 2011 and the existing Texas Juvenile Probation Commission (TJPC) and TexasYouth Commission (TYC) were abolished. TJJD serves the state and counties ofTexas by providing residential correctional detention facilities. Ensuring thesafety and well-being of the youth is the foundation of providing treatment andrehabilitation. As such, we seek to implement an OMTS that provides the ability to perform safetychecks of youth in their cells as well as aid the Agency with identifying risks anddetrimental behaviors
