Description
Project # SFHWY00465The Maritime Administration (MARAD), in coordination with the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) and the Prince William Sound Economic Development District (PWSEDD) plans to carry out marine geotechnical investigations at the Cordova Ferry Terminal. The results of the survey would be used to help inform project design. Project activities may encroach into the floodplain. The encroachments are anticipated to be minor, with no net changes to the base flood elevation, thus they would not result in significant encroachments. Additionally, no longitudinal encroachments are anticipated. Project Schedule Geotechnical investigation activities would occur during the daytime hours over an estimated one-week period. What to Expect The investigations will be performed outside of AMHS sailing schedule, therefore no impacts to service will occur.
