NOTICE INVITING BIDSfor the Mayor Jason Kouts ParkNIB #PK2303The City of Safford (City), Arizona hereby invites the submission of sealed Bids from properly licensed Contractors for the construction of Mayor Jason Kouts Park, located within city limits at N 32° 48’13.28” longitude and W 109° 43’3.37” latitude. The Project is expected to take 550 calendar days, and the Work includes performing or providing all labor, materials, services, and documentation necessary for construction of a new park consisting of a splash pad, walking pathways, pickleball courts, ramadas, open lawn spaces, amphitheater, playgrounds, pedestrian bridge, two (2) restroom buildings and roadway and parking lot paving.A mandatory pre-Bid conference will be held at 10:00 AM local time, Wednesday, January 7, 2026,at the City’s MYOC Conference Room: 405 W Discovery Park Blvd. Remote attendance via MS Teams will be available, but be aware, it is the prospective bidder’s responsibility to visit the project site and understand existing site conditions prior to submitting a bid.For more detailed information, the Bid Documents, including plans and Specifications, are available in digital format by written request to Andi Lindsey:For security reasons, you must enable JavaScript to view this E-mail address., or by registering at the City’s official website. Bidders shall seal and deliver their Bids by2:00 PM local time, Thursday, February 5, 2026to City of Safford, City Clerk, 717 W Main St., Safford, AZ  85546, where they will be publicly opened and read aloud. All Bids must include a bid bond for 10% of the Bid amount, and all Bids must be plainly marked on the outermost packaging with “Attention: Sealed Bid - #PK2303,”andshall indicate the company name & address of the BidderandBid closing date & time. Any Bids received after 2:00 PM on the above stated date will be returned unopened. The City reserves its right to reject any or all Bids, or to withhold the award for any reason the City determines. The City also reserves its right to hold any or all Bids for sixty (60) days after the Bid opening date and will not allow withdrawal of Bids during those sixty (60) days.
