Custom Liquid Spray Chamber (RFQ)

Provide design, fabrication, delivery, and installation of a liquid spray chamber to support research on agricultural sprayer nozzle performance and herbicide chemistry. The chamber will employ linear motion to propel a spray-nozzle tube across test media while applying liquid products under controlled conditions. Linear track to move a nozzle tube and bodies (tube and bodies provided by isu) with speeds from 0. 2 mph to 20+ mph; speed control in 0. 1 mph increments; carrier must maintain constant speed for not less than 5' at all target speeds; total length minimized while achieving target speeds and controlled deceleration; preferred linear rail macron dynamics 14-h series belt-driven rail(s); alternatives considered if accompanied by documentation on performance and maintenance; carrier capable of supporting and moving an 84" wide tube containing spray nozzle(s); estimated total weight of liquid-filled tube and spray nozzles 30 lbs.
