State of AlaskaDepartment of Natural ResourcesDivision of Mining, Land & WaterSouthcentral Regional Land Office550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900CAnchorage, AK 99501-3577ADL 233813Aquatic Farmsite Lease AmendmentSitkalidak Aquatic Farm, LLCSitkalidak Strait, Kodiak Island, Alaska (USGS Quad Maps Kodiak A-4 and Kodiak A-5) Public and Agency NoticePursuant to AS 38.05.945Subject to AS 38.05.083, the Southcentral Regional Land Office (SCRO) has made a Preliminary Decision to amend a 10-year lease to Old Harbor Native Corporation dba Sitkalidak Aquatic Farm, LLC to add year-round oyster gear to accommodate the commercial growth and harvest of Pacific oyster (Magallana gigas) on existing Parcel 1 (4.98 acres, more or less) and Parcel 2 (4.98 acres, more or less). There are no changes to the two lease parcels’ locations and acreages.The location of the project area is further described as being within the NE1/4 of Section 32 and NW1/4 of Section 33, Township 34 South, Range 25 West, Seward Meridian, and the SE1/4 of Section 26, Township 34 South, Range 26 West, Seward Meridian, within Sitkalidak Strait, on the southeast side of Kodiak Island. Parcel 1 is located within Port Otto, approximately 1.2 miles southeast of Old Harbor, Alaska. Parcel 2 is located within Barling Bay, approximately 2 miles southwest of Old Harbor, Alaska.The public and agencies are invited to review and comment on this proposed project. A copy of the decision can be found at https://aws.state.ak.us/OnlinePublicNotices/default.aspx or is available in hardcopy upon request.
