FORTIFY and IGNITE Programs Funding Opportunity (RFP)

The FORTIFY program seeks to support community efforts to address both climate adaptation and climate resiliency initiatives in the community. Climate adaptation includes developing and implementing strategies to help human and natural systems cope with and become more resilient to the impacts of climate change. Climate resiliency refers to the capacity of a community, individual, business, or natural environment to prevent, withstand, respond, and recover from climate change impacts. these challenges. The IGNITE program is designed to provide funding to municipal partners and not-for-profit organizations within Hennepin County. This fund supports entities in implementing tangible projects that directly reduce or prevent GHG emissions within their communities, contributing to countywide climate targets.
