Description

The Onslow Water and Sewer Authority requests proposals for the completion of a softener tank rehabilitation at our Dixon Water Treatment Plant. Proposals will be received at the ONWASA Central Office Complex at 228 Georgetown Road, Jacksonville, NC 28540 until2:00 pm on November 18, 2025.The successful proposer shall furnish all permits, materials, equipment, and labor necessary to perform all tasks described in the Scope of Work, including: removing and disposing of existing media; performing a visual inspection of the tank and repairing defective areas (including spot and patch welding) as needed; preparing and painting interior and exterior surfaces; pressure testing; replacement of brine inlet valve and electronic actuator; and, installing new gravel and media in a total of one (1) steel tank softener vessel.   Work will be performed at ONWASA’s Dixon Water Treatment Plant, 6661 Wilmington Hwy, Holly Ridge, NC 28445. Work is to begin within seven (7) calendar days from the receipt of a Notice to Proceed, and all work on the project shall be completed and the tank ready for service within 30 calendar days from that date.NC Certified HUB Contractors are encouraged to submit proposals for all bidding opportunities at ONWASA.For more details, see the Request for Proposals under "Related Documents" below.
