Request for Proposal - Garfield Avenue Transmission Line Replacement Project

General Information:The Carmichael Water District (District) is an Irrigation District, founded in 1916, operating under the State of California Water Code. The District provides domestic water to an estimated service area population of 37,897 customers via approximately 11,800 water service connections in Sacramento County.The Carmichael Water District Garfield Transmission Line Replacement Project is within Carmichael, CA. The project includes a section of water transmission line on Garfield Avenue North of Angelina Avenue up to and West on Engle Road, and at Garfield Avenue and Gibbons Drive. Along Engle Road and Garfield Avenue approximately 7,000-feet of new 14-inch ductile iron pipe will be installed. As well as, 3 new fire hydrant installations, 90 metered service reconnections, and 18 tie-in connections to the existing water system. The Garfield Avenue and Gibbons Drive portion includes approximately 1600-feet of new 14-inch ductile iron water main. This portion also includes 18 metered service reconnections, and 4 tie-in connections to the existing water system.Purpose of RFP:The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is for the District to retain professional engineering services for water line replacement projects as described in the scope of services.Proposals will be reviewed and chosen based on the criteria described in the RFP. The District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and select a proposal in the best interests of the District.
