The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is hosting public open houses in November and December 2025 to gather input for the Southeast Alaska Transportation Plan (SEATP) update. We welcome your participation and are offering two in-person and two virtual meetings. In-Person Open Houses: KetchikanWednesday, November 19, 2025, 5-7 p.m.Ketchikan High School Library2610 4th Avenue, KetchikanJuneauThursday, November 20, 2025, 5-7 p.m.Mendenhall Valley Public Library – Large Meeting Room3025 Dimond Park Loop, JuneauVirtual Open Houses: Tuesday, December 16, 2025 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.5:00 to 6:30 p.m.Zoom Access Information: Get links on the project website at www.southeastalaskatransportationplan.com Come learn about the planning process, ask questions, and share your input directly with the planning team. The meetings will follow an open house format, allowing attendees to drop in at any time during the scheduled hours. Virtual open houses will be held via Zoom. Meeting materials will be available on the project website by November 19, 2025. Comments can be submitted during the meetings, online, or in writing. Questions or need help? Project Overview DOT&PF is updating the Southeast Alaska Transportation Plan (SEATP), a 20-year multimodal transportation plan that will guide future public investments in Southeast Alaska’s infrastructure. This is your chance to help shape the future of transportation in the region! Goals include: • Assess the existing transportation system• Align with the Alaska Marine Highway System (AMHS) Long-Range Plan• Identify and evaluate transportation facilities, issues, and needs• Guide development and maintenance of all transportation modes• Incorporate public input to reflect community needs• Prioritize projects for future funding opportunities The Alaska DOT&PF operates without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability regardless of the funding source, including Federal Transit Administration, Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Highway Administration, and state funds.
