Description

Provide professional Architecture/Engineering (A/E) services for the design of a new emergency services facility in Willow, Alaska. This project aims to construct a modern, consolidated complex that will house fire, EMS, rescue, and administrative operations. The new facility will replace outdated and unsafe structures, including a condemned building, and will address the lack of dedicated EMS support spaces. Located at 32054 West Parks Highway on a 16.72-acre lot shared with the Willow Community Center, the proposed 15,000-square-foot building will include fire apparatus bays, ambulance bays, gear and locker rooms, supply rooms, office spaces, dormitories for up to eight staff members on 24-hour shifts, a kitchen, dining area, and workout rooms. Additional features will include an underground firewater holding tank meeting ISO standards, a 500 GPM pump for truck refilling, and evaluation of existing utilities for expanded capacity.
