Description
General Information:The Carmichael Water District (District) is an Irrigation District, founded in 1916, operating under the State of California Water Code. The District provides domestic water to an estimated service area population of 37,897 customers via approximately 11,800 water service connections in Sacramento County.The Carmichael Water District Garfield Transmission Line Replacement Project is within Carmichael, CA. The project includes a section of water transmission line on Kenneth Avenue at Carmichael Way, Boyd and Melvin Drives, and Vale Drive. Along Kenneth Avenue and Carmichael Way approximately 2,700-feet of new ductile iron pipe will be installed. As well as, 4 new fire hydrant installations, 32 metered service reconnections, and 3 tie-in connections to the existing water system. The Boyd and Melvin Drives portion includes approximately 1200-feet of new ductile iron water main. This portion also includes 47 metered service reconnections, 2 new fire hydrant installations, and 2 tie-in connections to the existing water system. The Vale Drive portion will include about 1000-feet of new DIP, 23 metered service reconnections, and 1 new fire hydrant.Purpose of RFP:The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is for the District to retain professional engineering services for water line replacement projects as described in the scope of services.Proposals will be reviewed and chosen based on the criteria described in the RFP. The District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and select a proposal in the best interests of the District. If a Professional Services Agreement is to be awarded, the District will award the Agreement to the firm selected by the Carmichael Water District review committee.Proposals addressed to Carmichael Water District Attention Greg Norris, Engineering Manager will be received at the Carmichael Water District, 7837 Fair Oaks Boulevard, Carmichael, California 95608 on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 until 12:00 p.m. Proposals received after 12:00 p.m. will not be accepted and will be returned unopened.See RFP PDF for project details and requirements.
