Description

The City of Savannah maintains a wide variety of historical and contemporary monuments, public art, and building facilities throughout Chatham County. These locations include cemeteries, three of which are on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The City of Savannah Park & Tree Department has identified multiple resources that are in need of immediate conservation. A number of these are deteriorated to a state that their original configuration is unknown. This includes, but are not limited to, stone and metal public art works, fountains, fencing, historical mausoleums, monuments, fencing, painted objects, and city owned buildings.
