Notice to the Public and Request for InformationLAS 35687Jesse Walker Subject to AS 35.05.850, the Southeast Regional Land Office has received an application for the following: APPLICANT: Jesse Walker PROJECT NAME: LAS 35687 GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: State-owned submerged land in Hawk Inlet, approximately 58.1332°N 134.7565°W. LEGAL DESCRIPTION:Approximately 0.25 acres of state-owned submerged land in NE1/4 NE1/4 Section 22, Township 43 South, Range 65 East, Copper River Meridian. REQUESTED ACTIVITY:Jesse Walker (applicant) is requesting a five-year Land Use Permit to allow for year-round moorage of a personal use, recreational float home on state-owned submerged land in Hawk Inlet, adjacent to Admiralty Island. The float (20 feet by 32 feet, 640 square feet) with living quarters (16 feet by 12 feet, 192 square feet) is secured to the submerged land by two Navy anchors (1,000-pound and 1,500-pound each). PROPOSED DATES OF USE: Start: August 12, 2025 End: August 11, 2030 DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: September 2, 2025 The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a discussion is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at either christi.scott@alaska.gov or to the Southeast Regional Land Office, 400 Willoughby Ave./PO Box 111020, Juneau, AK 99811-1020 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
